Jack S. Fischer

San Diego, California

Jack Fischer has been a member of the California Bar since 1993. He is an experienced civil litigation attorney who has litigated cases in both federal and state courts throughout California. Mr. Fischer has a diverse legal background which complements the firm's overall practice. Prior to joining our firm, he was a partner in the insurance coverage department at one of the state's leading firms specializing in that area of law. His extensive insurance coverage background has taught him how to maximize available coverage and recovery for his clients. From the initial investigation through case resolution, the issue of insurance coverage, and who will pay for a loss, is at the forefront of every case.

Mr. Fischer's practice also includes litigating labor and employment-related cases in both state and federal court, as well as before various administrative bodies. He represents employees as well as uninsured employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or other wrongful conduct. He has also represented a wide variety of design professionals and contractors in construction defect litigation as well as in contractual disputes.

Mr. Fischer has extensive business law experience which includes litigating trade secret and unfair competition disputes as well as cases involving the enforceability of restrictive non-compete clauses. Recognizing the costs involved with protracted litigation and the toll that it can take on a small to medium-sized business, Mr. Fischer strives to bring such cases to an early resolution prior to filing of a lawsuit.

In addition, Mr. Fischer maintains a family law practice including divorce, property distribution, spousal support, and child custody and support issues. He is well-versed in the California Family Code and has hands-on knowledge gained through years of family law courtroom experience.

Mr. Fischer was previously employed as a Contracts Manager with one of the world's leading government contractors. In that role, he assisted the Department of Defense in managing large-scale development and procurement contracts and ensured government compliance with the federal procurement process in order to avoid bid disputes. Mr. Fischer has leveraged that experience on behalf of small and minority owned businesses participating in the federal contracting process.
