Paul Duvall has been practicing law in California since 1977.  Paul graduated from Northwestern School of Law.  During law school, from 1976 to 1977, he was a law clerk for the Hon. Howard B. Turrentine, United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of California. 

After law school, Paul was a judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps.  Thereafter, Paul practiced law with Sullivan, Jones & Archer, a San Diego law firm specializing in complex civil litigation.  During the same period, Paul was a court-appointed defense attorney for indigent criminal defendants in the Southern District of California.

In 1987, Paul joined King & Ballow, representing various California newspapers in employment and labor matters.  During this time, Paul began to give frequent lectures on employment and wage and hour issues for various companies and public agencies.  Paul also began providing cutting edge Continuing Legal Education seminars on employment issues.

Paul is a past president and Board member of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program.  He has been named a “top lawyer” for wage and hour issues by San Diego Magazine three times.

Paul is licensed to practice in all of the federal district courts in California as well as the Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits of the United States Courts of Appeal.
